More about Cat
HORSES TRAINED BY CAT-
Have won numerous World Championships, but showing isn’t everything. They’ve safely carried young children, moved thousands of cattle, climbed mountains, given riders confidence, and been a joy to be around. Whether halter breaking, starting a colt, teaching lead changes, making a hackamore, two rein or bridle horse, or exploring Shoulder In, Haunches In, and Pirouette. Cat specializes in utilizing biomechanics & timing to build safe, enjoyable equine partners.
CAT'S TEACHING HIGHLIGHTS -
Cat has coached youth, amateur, and open riders from beginner through professional level. Her students have won National titles in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Reining, Halter, Showmanship, Western Dressage, Barrel Racing, & Pole Bending. She has helped riders start colts, work through problems, and advance their horsemanship from snaffle through bridle horse level.
EXPERIENCED UNIVERSITY COACH
Paying it Forward: one of Cat’s greatest honors was serving as Head Coach of the University of Illinois Equestrian Team and the Head Coach of Parkland College. During this time, she served as an adjunct professor in the Parkland College Agri-business program. Cat’s collegiate students have gone on to earn National Scholarships and move into their own coaching and equine professional careers.
